During my middle school and high school years, social media significantly impacted my mental health, leading to prolonged struggles with depression and anxiety. Today, young people, especially girls, face an overwhelming barrage of content on social media platforms. While social media can provide positive outlets, the presence of filters and the emphasis on 'likes' can distort self-perception and contribute to mental health issues.

It's crucial to acknowledge both the potential benefits and pitfalls of social media. By fostering nuanced discussions, we can help young girls understand that their true worth extends far beyond their online presence. Encouraging healthy relationships with social media involves empowering them to embrace their authentic selves beyond the screen.
